Read More About John Stratford

John is a lifelong resident of Aquidneck Island. As a boy his summer days were spent working on his Grandfather’s farm in Middletown, on a local playing field or on a boat in Narragansett Bay. These early experiences formed who he is today – he works very hard, keeps himself busy constantly and always has fun doing whatever he is doing.

John spent his early career in student lending, traveling the country to various Colleges and Universities. He learned to adapt to different cultures, different personalities and different challenges that school administrators were facing across the country. This developed one of John’s core strengths – his ability to quickly adapt to his client’s personality which as John states “allows me to quickly build credibility and trust. It is not a character that I am playing – I just genuinely enjoy meeting all different types of people and am truly interested in them. I also love to help, I’ve always been that way”.

Fifteen years ago John made the move into Mortgage Banking and while there have been some challenges along the way he considers it the best move he has ever made. “When Sunday evening rolls around I am never anxious about going to work on Monday – I love what I do. Plus, I work all weekend anyway so it doesn’t matter”. John is rated very highly by his clients, business partners and co-workers. “I just think that I understand, better than most, how important each and every thing that I do is and the affect it has on the lives of the buyer, seller, my agents. I do not take my job lightly”. John prides himself on his communication skills “no Borrower or Realtor will ever wonder where we are in the process”. When asked what makes him successful John recalls a conversation with his wife’s 97 year old Grandfather “Pop told me if you love what you do you will always be great at it. It’s simple but I truly think that is what makes me the best of the best in the mortgage world”.

John is Director of Softball for Middletown Little League, a position he has held for the last 6 years. “This community means everything to me and I enjoy giving back to it – especially to the children – as they are our future leaders”. John, his wife Kristen and daughters Kaylee and Corey live in Middletown with their 2 dogs – Brooks and Lola and their Cat Nala. “I’d love the opportunity to work with you and to help you achieve your homeownership and financial goals”.
